UNCONTESTED DIVORCE WITH OUT CHILDREN

I am currently accepting divorce clients for uncontested divorces, with no minor children of the marriage and the parties have already lived separate and apart for six (6) months, in East Baton Rouge and nearby parishes. (Covenant Marriage not included)

Uncontested Fee is $399.00 plus Court Costs.
Court Costs for East Baton Rouge Parish are $245.00.  It will be more if the defendant can not be served in East Baton Rouge Parish or if the Defendant files an Answer.
Court Costs for other Parishes will vary.

An uncontested Louisiana Civil Code Article 103 Divorce, where the parties have already lived separate and apart for six months and have no minor children, is obtained by filing a verified petition for divorce and service upon the Defendant.  Fifteen days after the Defendant is served a Motion and Order for Preliminary Default, alleging that no answer has been filed, is filed and submitted to the Judge.  Two judicial days after the Order is signed the Petitioners affidavit of fact alleging grounds for Divorce and a Divorce Judgment is then filed and submitted for the Judge’s signature.  The process usually takes four  (4) to six (6) weeks.  An additional charge is required to expedite or speed up the process.

You may contact me at 225-296-0018 to schedule an appointment for a divorce.  The entire fee of $399.00 plus court costs are required at the initial appointment.  I will call for current court costs at your appointment.  East Baton Rouge court costs are more than my attorney fees.
